Dutch Influence Documentary Stars Tisto, Afrojack, Armin van Buuren, Nicky Romero

At this year’s CBGB Film Festival in New York, sneaking in among the overwhelming amount rockumentary screenings is a little feature highlighting today’s modern day rock stars (and no, we’re not talking about Kanye). DJs have risen from out the underground and into the spotlight, demanding six figures and private jets wherever they are requested, which is why the Jammin Agency (a production team consisting of Hatim El Khatib, Samuel Comazzi and Rikash Gobardhan) have come together to debut their new documentary Dutch Influence.

The documentary pays tribute to a particular group of EDM pioneers (aka Dutch prodcuers), and includes interviews by current celebrity DJs Tiësto, Afrojack, Armin van Buuren, and Nicky Romero as they disclose their personal experience with the genre and how far it’s come. Serving as both a history of House music and a stunning visual concert experience, this film has everything a true raver would want by bringing the excitement and energy of a festival/DJ set onto the big screen. Check out the trailer below, and get tickets to its debut screening at CBGB tomorrow (October 11) at 1 p.m at Sunshine Cinema (143 East Houston Street). An additional screening will also take place Sunday, October 13, at 1 p.m. at Indie Screen in Brooklyn.
